SFI SOH4 - Winter Cover Following Maize Crops
Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI), SOH4, Winter cover following Maize crops require a winter cover crop to be present after a maize crop is harvested (usually no later than mid-October). The main aim of this scheme is to reduce the risk of soil erosion and surface runoff, and to help take up nutrients and reduce nitrate leaching through the soil profile.
