Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI), SOH3, Multi Species Summer Sown Cover Crop, requires that there's a well-established summer-sown multi-species cover crop that's present between harvesting a cash crop until either another cash crop, or winter cover crop is sown. This ensures that the soil is protected and provides root growth to improve soil structure and biology. This scheme requires you to sow a mix that contains at least 4 species from at least 2 species from two or more of the following plant families: brassicas, legumes, cereals and grasses, herbs.
