SFI CAHL3 / AHL3 - Grassy Field Corners
Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) CAHL3 (2024) and AHL3 (2023), Grassy Field Corners and Blocks, requires there to be an intact grass sward throughout the year, without tracks, compacted areas or poaching, so tussocky grass can develop. CAHL3 and AHL3 are static actions, and must therefore be carried out on the same area of land each year of the agreement. Grassy field corners or blocks can be established by sowing seed mixes, or by allowing them to naturally generate and will help to provide year-round habitat for a range of wildlife and beneficial insects.
