Sativus Saffron Specie Crocus Bulbs

Having vivid violet-purple blooms with red stigmas (Saffron) these are a beauty of a flower and will stand out in any garden and add that last boost of colour before winter sets in.

Although this may not be true, you can now grow your own expensive spice! Saffron is used as a food flavouring and spice, it is said to be more expensive than gold per kilo. The red stigmas of the crocus sativus flower can be picked as soon as possible once the crocus has flowered.
